This presentation will begin with a basic introduction and background of the Navy’s Hearing Conservation Program. It will look at the study design, data collection and analysis of the Epidemiology of Hearing Loss in the U.S. Navy personnel: 1995–1999. Focus will be on the epidemiology of hearing loss, changes in enlisted and officer personnel and compare this to historical data. Discussion and implications for Hearing Conservation Programs will also be discussed.
