  2. AuD Proposals
    Proposals have been received from several university audiology training programs to develop distance-learning based Au.D. degree program for military and civilian government audiologists.
  3. Fluency Treatment At WRAMC
    The Speech-Language Pathology section of Walter Reeds Army Audiology and Speech Center (AASC) offers a four-week intensive fluency training program for active duty stutterers. This comprehensive therapy program is the only one of its kind in the Department of Defense.
  4. The Army Make-buy Analysis
    Military downsizing has confronted us with issues we were trying arduously to avoid. Todays reality is a smaller military with a changed mission. The Joint Health Service Support Mission 2010 proposes to promote a healthy and fit force, prevent casualties, and care for and manage casualties. We must now implement this vision with fewer resources and greater flexibility.
  5. Operation BANG to be Expanded
    "This was a hearing loss prevention/noise awareness program aimed at school aged children. BANG consisted of some classroom lecture/ demonstration activities, a field trip to the flight line and the audiology clinic, and guest presentations, spread over a three-day period."
